Insurtech UK has unveiled its new Advisory Panel, a strategic initiative designed to bring together senior leaders from across the insurance industry to advance the future growth and development of UK insurtech. This panel represents a significant milestone in the sector’s evolution, marking a key step forward from previous efforts.
The creation of the Advisory Panel builds on the strong groundwork laid by Tech Nation’s Insurtech Board, which was originally established by HM Treasury.
By merging the goals of this earlier board with Insurtech UK’s core mission, the panel’s main objective is to enhance the UK’s position as a global leader in insurtech innovation. What’s more, this move is intended to protect the insurtech community’s voice and drive forward initiatives that will shape the future of the industry.
Who is in the New Panel?
The newly formed Advisory Panel has a distinguished lineup of industry leaders, including Graham Davis, who is the head of Propositions & Distribution Intelligence at Ageas; Blake Redrup, a Strategy Consultant at Aon Inpoint; along with the CEO of Insurtech UK Melissa Collett and several others. The panel will be further supported by the previous Director of Tech Nation’s Insurtech Board, Victoria Robert.
Each member brings a rich background and deep expertise to their roles. Graham Davis will leverage his extensive knowledge to focus on propositions and distribution intelligence. Meanwhile Suzanne Lawson will spearhead initiatives to drive strategic partnerships. Plus, with the support of Victoria Roberts, the panel is well-positioned to guide the future of UK insurtech with a strong and collaborative approach.
The Rapid Progress of Insurtech in the UK
In a recent statement, Jon Warburton, Co-Chair of Insurtech UK highlighted the impressive progress of the UK insurtech sector. He stated that the insurtech scene in the UK has come a long way, when compared to its early days, when Tech Nation was first advocating for this emerging field with the backing of HM Treasury. The sector now supports more than sixty thousand jobs in different parts of the globe.
In addition, it has produced more insurtech unicorns than the rest of Europe combined. As Insurtech UK continues to play a pivotal role in uniting insurers and insurance technology, Jon claimed that he was pleased to see how the newly formed Advisory Panel will propel the next wave of success in this vast and highly promising field.
All Eyes are on the Advisory Panel
UK’s insurance market has been evolving rapidly and the evolution of insurtech her could bring about plenty of welcome changes. With the new advisory panel in place and ready to go, all eyes are on them as people are keen to find out the changes and additions that will take place in the near future.
